Giant Strides

I loved science at school - and still do albeit my career took a different path. Scientists are always on a quest, - to solve a problem, or answer a long pondered question or riddle. Problem solving requires creativity and it's no fluke that these interests often go hand in hand. Many a crafter or creative person instinctively taps into their need to create beauty, or have an appreciation of the beauty in creation. I spent a lot of time today reading up on this celebrated and revered scientist - Stephen Hawking was a good custodian of his gift of creativity, determination and skill to search for answers in his field of interest, and despite his obvious physical limitations, said his mind was unfettered. I do hope that somewhere in the cosmos his quest continues...even though he had very serious doubts that there was any life beyond our physical being.
